A standout from Knipser that often emerges as the best in blind tastings! This wine has aged for 24 months, primarily in new French oak, resulting in many spicy notes of coffee and cedar, along with berry aromas. The wine has significant aging potential. Tip: Also, try Knipser's Rosé Fumé, which gets its delicious flavor from the extraction of this red wine!

Winery Since 1876, Weingut Knipser has been a family-run business in Laumersheim, located in the northern Vorderpfalz between Grünstadt and Bad Dürkheim. The vineyards stretch across Laumersheim, Großkarlbach, and Dirmstein, covering a total area of 75 hectares. As one of the pioneers in the region, Heinz Knipser began bottling wine in 1948. The current owners, Volker and Werner Knipser, introduced vinification in barriques in the 1980s, increased the proportion of red wine, and carefully selected both classic regional and international varieties when planting new vines.
